While Dracula canonically loses every battle against the Belmont, Morris, and Lecarde clans, the only hero he is able to defeat (though posthumously) is Simon Belmont at the end of Castlevania II: Simon's Quest. If a player discovers a special coffin in Symphony of the Night, the Succubus attempts to use this to sway Alucard back to his father's side, but fails to do so. Her execution for false charges of witchcraft left him griefstricken.
In Symphony of the Night, Alucard's mother was revealed to be Lisa, a human Dracula fell in love with.
